Technical files
2D drawings, STEP/STP, DXF/DWG, tolerances, GD&T, specifications and design revisions.
Customer drawings, CAD, samples, specifications, pricing, tooling concepts and product information are treated as confidential manufacturing information and used only for the applicable commercial, engineering, production and quality purpose.
A manufacturing program often contains more IP than the final drawing alone.
2D drawings, STEP/STP, DXF/DWG, tolerances, GD&T, specifications and design revisions.
Parts, prototypes, fixtures, tooling, assemblies and reference components sent for study or reproduction.
Pricing, volume, purchase requirements, delivery expectations, supplier information and customer identity.
Inventions, concepts, patent-oriented materials, process development and proprietary manufacturing knowledge.
Some programs require technical information to be shared with ORM Global Manufacturing, an approved manufacturing facility, tooling provider, laboratory, quality partner or logistics provider. The objective is to limit disclosure to the information necessary to perform the applicable work and keep the commercial relationship controlled through ORM.
Customer names, logos, project photos and product details are not published as case studies or marketing material without approval.
The public RFQ page does not silently send confidential CAD files to an unapproved third-party form processor. Selected drawings remain on the customer's device until the customer attaches them to the prepared email or another approved transfer method is agreed.
The ORM mutual NDA covers technical information, samples, supplier/manufacturer disclosure, intellectual property, unauthorized manufacturing/circumvention, publicity, information security, return/destruction, export control and Georgia governing law.
Public template for commercial use subject to ORM acceptance. Executed project agreements control in the event of conflict. Parties should obtain independent legal advice where appropriate.
